RE
At Dove Bank Primary School, we believe that Religious Education (RE) develops children's cultural awareness, critical thinking and empathy, equipping them with the knowledge and understanding they need to navigate a diverse world. Our children are given opportunities to develop their resilience through engaging with philosophical questions, exploring different viewpoints and discussing these with open minds. We are aspirational for our children through an enquiry-based approach, ensuring that all pupils develop a secure understanding of different faiths, learn to explain and compare different worldviews, and are challenged to reflect on their own values. Underpinning all our learning, we encourage our children to show kindness, respect, consideration and understanding when learning in RE lessons.
