Design & Technology
At Dove Bank Primary School, we believe that Design and Technology equips our children with the practical skills, technical knowledge, and creative problem-solving abilities needed to shape the world around them. Our children are given opportunities to develop their resilience through the iterative design processes during design technology lessons, where they must evaluate and troubleshoot any difficulties or setbacks, and adapt their plans when materials fail. We are aspirational for our children by challenging them to engineer innovative solutions to real-world problems, work with real life tools, and explore future career paths in design, engineering, and technology. Underpinning all our learning, we encourage our children to show kindness, respect, consideration and understanding when learning in Design and Technology lessons.
