Mental Health Support
At Dove Bank, we prioritise mental health and wellbeing. Our mental health lead is Greer Amison, and she is a qualified Senior Mental Health Leader.
Emma Chesters is our qualified ELSA (Emotional Literacy Support Assistant).
The school works in partnership with Staffordshire County Council, the NHS and the Mental Health Support Team. The Mental Health Support Team provides the pupils, and families, in the school with low-intensity support, offering early intervention and self-guided help sessions. Our mental health practitioner is Julie Clarke. She works in school each Monday afternoon and provides a wealth of support covering low mood, anxiety, resilience, behaviour support, problem-solving, sleep, phobias and exam stress. Please discuss any concerns with your child's class teacher, or Greer Amison, and we can complete a referral together.
